Major Minor Motors
Martin's story
I have been dabbling with old cars for most of my adult life. I have restored cars, raced and trialled them and after retirement undertaken a number of endurance journeys.
This new book follows my experiences in driving my trusty old car effectively from top to bottom of the world – not always in the same direction and in this case not as one continuous journey. Accompanied by my stalwart friend Roger and in his absence my ever patient wife Alison, this book I hope satisfies the faint outcry (more a stifled query) from those who had followed our previous exploits when we drove to Vladivostok and then across the United States.
I live in semi-rural Bedfordshire and am blessed with a fairly large and forgiving family. As an aspiring car driver back in the dark ages I could either afford driving lessons or a vehicle and my passengers are still not sure I made the right choice.
